Welcome to the Aquatic Ecology and Climate Change lab
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE-FARMINGTON
We are broadly interested in freshwater organisms and ecosystems in the context of a changing world. Our study systems range from small lakes to large rivers, and current projects focus on species life history diversity and feedbacks between aquatic communities and changing habitats. Teaching and mentoring in the AECC lab emphasize training students to develop ecological questions and equipping them with the skills necessary for research across disciplines.

Our campus is located on the traditional homelands of the Abenaki people, from which they were forcibly removed. Our lab is committed to Indigenous sovereignty and just approaches to science.
