The Aquatic Ecology and Climate Change lab at the University of Maine Farmington

We are broadly interested in freshwater organisms and ecosystems in the context of a changing world. Our study systems range from small lakes to large rivers, and research questions explore different aspects of how habitat variation and biodiversity mediate aquatic ecosystem response to regional change.

Teaching and mentoring in the AECC lab emphasize training students to develop ecological questions and equipping them with the skills necessary for research across disciplines.
